CRIMINAL DIVISION

The Criminal Division is responsible for overseeing all criminal matters in the Territory. We help develop, enforce, and apply local criminal laws to promote a safer American Samoa. Criminal division attorneys work with law enforcement agencies, both local and federal. Additionally, the Criminal Division oversees the newly established Sex Offender Registry. 

CIVIL DIVISION

The Civil Division represents the American Samoa Government in all civil matters. We provide legal advice to the various ASG departments, agencies, and offices to ensure that lawful procedures are followed. The Civil Division is also responsible for litigating government interests whether defending ASG against lawsuits or initiating lawsuits on behalf of ASG.
