PROJECT PIPELINE

Providing Individuals with Pathways to Education in the Law-In return for Negotiated Employment

The Department of Legal Affairs’ Project PIPELINE is a program specifically tailored to increase licensed lawyers in the Territory. Our Project focuses on supporting residents of
American Samoa with a demonstrated interest in the legal field, who have at least a bachelors degree from an accredited college and are currently serving our community through work in the private or public sectors.

As an initial and major step towards law school application, Project participants are mentored in the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), through a two-year LSAT prep program sponsored through the Department of Commerce's workforce grant program. With an initial cohort of over 40 employees from the public and private sectors, the LSAT prep
program part of the Project was launched in April 2025. This program provides a flexible online schedule of class sessions, practice tests and feedback sessions through ACE Prep LSAT, a recognized leader in comprehensive LSAT preparation. Applications for the LSAT prep program
have closed, however, if you meet our program criteria and are interested in the programs we have to offer, please contact our staff at Pipeline@la.as.gov for more information regarding any future opportunities.
